"Mission Concepcion Stairway"
What a beautiful, old mission in San Antonio.
Quarter sheet Arches Paper
Day 11 of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Hmm! Not sure what happened to Day 4 and 5.
Maybe, it was because it was a Monday and
then a day at the doctor's office
Both of these were painted in December
Here's a little teapot. 5"x7" watercolor
And for Day 5, I cheated a bit. This was a commission that
I painted for a customer as a Christmas gift for her husband.
"Wayne's Corvette"
This is part of Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge.
I saw "Lorie" at a craft show.
When I saw her hat (not cowboy) and her sweet smile
I knew I wanted to paint her. I needed to catch just the right light,
so we stepped to the door which just happily
happened to be red. YeeHaw! And her red plaid shirt, perfect!!!
This is day 3 of the 30 paintings in 30 days hosted by Leslie Saeta.
Watercolor -11"x15" on Arches paper.
Here's a little glimpse at my W.I.P. (work in progress)
"Tom Orsak" is an artist and a friend.
Tom is a plein air artist and I love the hat he wears
when he is painting outside.
I was delighted when he agreed to let me paint his portrait.
He and his wife, Jeane live in Harriet, Texas near San Angelo.
This is day 2 of the 30 paintings in 30 days hosted by Leslie Saeta.
Happy 2016! What resolutions have you made?
The top in 2015 were:
1. Get healthy 2. Lose weight 3. Enjoy life
4. Spend less, save more 5. More time with family and friends
6. Get organized 7. Don't make a resolution
8. Learn something new 9. Travel more 10. Read more
11. PAINT MORE!!!
(not on the Nielsen's poll. LOL!)
It has been awhile since I participated in Leslie Saeta's
30 Paintings in 30 Days, but it's time to do it again!!!
She suggested to choose a theme or subject.
so I am thinking...
I am working on a series - "Hat People" (will post later)
and for Christmas, hubby and I went to San Antonio.
We loved the Mission Trail. So, I am also painting missions.
